Tinsel and several types of garland or ribbon are commonly used to decorate a Christmas tree. Lighting with candles is commonly done, and a tree topper completes the ensemble. Cut out the patterns of Santa, snowmen, and penguins on leftover wrapping paper and use them to decorate. Spray will enable the cutouts to stick to walls, wooden boxes or bottles. Have any uncomfortable or worn-out Christmas socks as to stuff them with a bit of batting, sew the tops and string them on yarn or thin ribbon. Hang on the wall or mantel, or even the tree for gift.
