What is Hydroponics?


Actually hydroponics is one of the modern methods of gardening or farming. It is also called as the science of gardening or farming without soil. The corps absorbs nutrients or solutions from the water and soil or media.  Media plays role as supporter to the roots of the plants. Sometimes it holds moisture around the roots of the plants. Any growing media is fully inert.  It is totally different from the traditional method. Using enough water you will garden very well. It means, it will not require more or less water and therefore we will supply limited water and take more. It is well known system in the places where there is lack of water or less availability of water in the region.

A phrase 'without soil' will create fun, that how it is possible to grow plants without soil? Or how to farm without soil? . Without soil means no soil born disease or pests. And this is the very difference between traditional gardening and hydroponic gardening. Plants itself maintain optimum moisturized level and nutrient level in hydroponics method.

This system gives you many benefits. For example plants grow faster with health life. They carry minimum diseases. The roots of the plants will not grow deeper and so they produce more energy that will require for plants growth. If you observe growing rate of the plants carefully, you will realize that plants growth rate will be thirty percent faster than the earlier. Generally, hydroponical plants are not root bound so you will not need to replant. This kind of corps has longer safety life than the soil grown produce system. And therefore you can use hydroponic gardening system outdoor, garden or indoor. Plants do not need more soil like soil grown produce. People who have limited place and want garden in premises can use this method.

It is simple method.  If you can manage all things properly and can follow directions, you can garden hydroponically. This method requires limited material and medium too. Enhance it is not too expensive to use. How to use and how to invest money these all things depend upon you.

Before gardening, first decide where you want to garden and what you want plant in the garden. It requires simple raw material like wooden slates and sticks, pots, media, etc. and these are easily available at anywhere and at everywhere. You will also get hydroponic gardening kits in the market. You can use the place, system, and media, for vegetable gardening or simple gardening.
