Also keep in mind that a power stretcher is not the same as a knee kicker. A knee kicker is used to position or to move the carpet and not used for stretching.

Also, a new, thicker carpet may prevent the doors from swinging clear and free. Thus, the installer must remove the doors and re-hang them. Also, if the doors do not clear, you should arrange to have them trimmed.
