The carpet should be resistant to the chemical that can prove harsh to it and it should have the color fastness so that there is no bleaching effect on it. Many experts in this context suggest that there should be a patch test done before the usage of any such solution to the carpet.

Tips to remove the stain:

Blotting motion should be used to prevent spreading of the stain and the job becomes easier and efficient. The solutions are strong and they do not need any kind of rubbing and wet backing but it can cause harm to the carpet. If there is a thick pad of white paper placed over the stain then it can soak the unwanted matter on the carpet and along with soaking of moisture. If the carpet if cleaned professionally and steamed once a year then that helps a lot in removing the after effects of stains. However a lot of things are dependent on the usage of carpet and the frequency of an expert wash should be twice or thrice depending upon the usage of the carpet.

Cleaning becomes easier:

Even if there is an excessive usage of cleaning solutions there is a possibility that life span of carpet is reduced. Sometimes there is a problem of residue remnant on the carpet that often looks ugly and sometimes the spot is replaced with a grayish black one that ruins the looks of carpet. There can be dirt trafficking if the right action is not taken at the time of spot removal. The best bet is calling a professional and getting it cleaned with the least of risks.
