Remove Candle Wax from Carpet

Learning How to Do It!

Did you ever drop a hot candle or just tipped a burning candle over your carpet? If so then you will know, how horrible candle wax can be to your carpet. You must have tried scrubbing, washing, and even scratching sometimes. Don't worry, as nothing of that would have worked. Well, if you've got a candle wax stain on your carpet, you need an iron and a couple sheets of old newspaper. Though it seems a little old fashioned and even a little strange, it actually does work. You will definitely have doubts the first time you try, but you will be amazed by how fast and affective it will be.

Ironing Away the Wax!

The first thing you need to do is heat your iron up, just as you would do when going to iron a regular shirt. Now don't forget that the iron will be hot and that you should always be careful when using one. Once it has warmed up, you must find a few sheets of old newspaper and place them on the spot where the stain is. Also place a few sheets around the stain to prevent the burning of other materials around it. It is very simple. All you have to do is to iron the sheets of paper. This method of cleaning does sound strange, but as you do it you will notice that the stain will start disappearing.

When you iron the sheets of newspaper, you can notice that the wax is absorbing into the sheets of paper. This is a good sign. It will look like little spots of water or grease. Once you see these little spots of grease, you instantly know the wax is coming out of the carpet. Then later, do not forget to turn the iron off, as you don't want to burn down the house. Also see to it that you are careful when doing this, as accidents are known to happen. Never try to do this using a lighter or any other flammable item. You can sometimes just end up burning your carpet instead of cleaning it.
