Interface carpet

Interface is a surface forming a common boundary between adjacent regions, bodies, substances, or phases. Interface carpet is the carpet of two sides. Carpet tile of interface flooring systems easily adapts the ever-changing needs of the contemporary educational facilities providing long-term value with best performance and flexibility for ages. Interface carpet provides with an Anti-microbial Preservative Protection. It provides with: -

1)Intersept Anti-microbial Preservative, registered by the EPA for the use in the carpet, is permanently incorporated into the backing system of products by Interface Flooring Systems.

2)Intersept protects the cover of the floor from a broad spectrum of molds, mildews and odor causing microorganisms.

3)Carpet is protected with Intersept is guaranteed to maintain antimicrobial preservative effectiveness for the life of the carpet, assuming proper maintenance.

Forms

Interface carpets has provided and released a health and aged care range of floor coverings that addresses key issues in health and aged care: rolling resistance and OHS issues, ease of maintenance, durability and lifecycle, infection control, slip and fall, leg fatigue, noise and glare. Interface carpet comes into two forms:

1)Modular: It provides the benefits of tiles being able to be replaced or rotated.

2)System Six performance carpet: With this there is no need to seal the sub floor as each join is chemically bonded to create a completely impermeable layer from edge to edge in any room.

Both the forms feature impermeable backings, preventing moisture from reaching the sub floor. The fibreglass layer within both the forms creates a highly dimensionally stable product that offers low wheel resistance.

Key issues

Key issues within the aged care environment also include infection control, maintenance, durability and longevity of the products. It also features Intersept, an antimicrobial agent permanently embedded within the carpet structure. Since Intersept is non-soluble, it is not removed by cleaning processes and lasts for the life of the carpet. The solution dyed ensures that the product will not lose color vibrancy with extreme wear, food, bodily fluid or pharmaceutical spills or cleaning agents. Combined with fluorocarbon treatments that repel stains and soil, and the dense loop construction that provides easy release of soil and contaminants. Interface is a hardwearing alternative to hard floor surfaces.
